19. Classmate Blog Critique

Elizabeth Attebery is a junior student at Southern Arkansas University with an outstanding blog and a total of over 60 views. The structure of Attebery’s blog is set up to be simplistic yet organized and professional. The writer has done well to apply credentials where necessary, accrediting accurate sources.

Each report has at least one leading photo—great visuals that will attract an audience of readers. The order of information in a single post is well-thought out, informative, and structured for easy-reading, which I both enjoy and respect.

As far as visual critiques, the background photo on the main page clashes with an Instagram link that may be the writer’s Instagram. The color of the letters should be in a different color so that readers may know where to find you. There are some reports that lack interactivity. If considered, you could provide links for invested readers that prefer deep diving into the ‘rabbit hole,’ as my professor would say. However this is within the first couple of reports, showing the writer’s ability to investigate the work of her peers and adjust as needed. Just some suggestions!

I am a personal kind-of girl, and I really enjoy the bio feature on Google Blogger where writers can express themselves to the public in a few words. I think adding to your blog's bio would create the vibe of your blog to be more warm and inviting! Overall, the blog is a well-done job and has displayed how being in the space of those around you will help develop substantial media analyzing skills.

*Note for Attebery: Don’t be too shy to not put anything! We’d love to know a little about you! Great job on your blog for this course!
